Comedian Stephen Colbert said rapper Kanye West has “lost his mind” because he tweeted out support for President Donald Trump, Thursday on CBS’ “The Late Show.”
Colbert read West’s tweet that praised Trump for his “dragon energy” and said everyone has a right to “independent thought.”
You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.

“Yes, we have the right to independent thought and I independently think Kanye has lost his mind,” Colbert said to applause.

Colbert continued to ridicule West and told the rapper to “put the phone down.”
“You know what, Kanye? You know what? Donald Trump is your brother,” he said. “It is true. I’m your brother, too. And, brother to brother here, I just want to say: put the phone down.”
“Have you been hanging out with Dr. Ronny Jackson?” Colbert quipped.
He also mocked Trump for thanking West and showed an album cover with the two of them back to back, entitled “Yeezy and Sleazy.”
“It’s a total bro-fest,” Colbert concluded.
