Joe Scarborough managed to make the mockery of Sarah Huckabee Sanders at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner all about him on “Morning Joe” Monday and said she should toughen up and get thicker skin.

“The criticism from Trump supporters is rich. I must say,” Scarborough said. “There were quite a few people that I’ve known and I’ve considered friends for some time saying they were shocked and stunned and deeply saddened, and they were so shocked by the personal insults that they left early.”

“And then they went to after parties and had a great time there, but these friends of mine for 20 years certainly didn’t call me up and say, ‘Hey, Joe, we’re thinking about you. So sorry he attacked your fiance’s appearance,'” Scarborough continued.

President Donald Trump mocked Scarborough’s fiancee and co-host Mika Brzezinski last June for bleeding from a face lift, and in November, he highlighted the death of one of Scarborough’s staffers while he was a congressman on Capitol Hill.

Scarborough patted himself on the back for taking Trump’s criticism in stride and bragged about not having to “bitch about it at the time.”

“‘Hey, Joe, we’re sorry that Donald Trump said you’re a murderer and you had to explain to your 9-year-old boy.’ I understand it. I’m a big boy. I didn’t bitch about it at the time,” he concluded. “But for these people who are so shocked and stunned and deeply saddened that a comedian did what comedians do and yet they just apologized for Donald Trump over and over again and kept their mouths shut, what a joke.”
