In an absolutely wild interview Tuesday, Kanye West called slavery a “choice” and spoke about what having a free mind really means.

The interview took place at the TMZ offices in Los Angeles and eventually got heated between some employees and the rap mogul. West was asked about his recent pro-Trump social media postings and embrace of pro-Trump policies, activists and campaign gear.

“People are taught how to think we are taught how to feel,” Kanye when asked about his posts on Trump’s MAGA hat. “I felt a freedom in doing something everyone tells you not to do. I just love Trump.”

Kanye then went on a mind-bending tirade about why he does not use the word slavery and ultimately calling slavery a “choice.”

“When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years?! That sounds like a choice. We’re mentally in prison. I live the word prison because slavery goes direct to the idea of blacks. Prison unites us as one race. Blacks and whites being one race. The human race.”
