Pompeo Puts Kim Jong Un On Notice — Time For State Department To Get It’s ‘Swagger Back’

New Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the State Department needs to get its’ “swagger back” Wednesday.

WATCH:

“We have much to do,” Pompeo said. “But in every position I’ve had, I’ve witnessed the skills, expertise and patriotism of our foreign affairs professionals.”

“You all lay it on the line to make sure that America is safe and prosperous and free. Thank you for that. As I’ve said, and I’ll elaborate more, I want the State Department to get it’s swagger back,” he added.

President Trump also appeared at the State Department Wednesday for Pompeo’s swearing in.

“We can say many years, maybe many decades. It’s going to be a fantastic start, a fantastic day. And that spirit will only be magnified, with this man right here. I know that for a fact,” the president said at the ceremony. “So, thank you all for being here.
