Trump took the stage alongside representatives of Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Islam to deliver a speech in staunch defense of religious liberty. The president took the opportunity to repeat one of his favorite refrains saying that the phrase “one nation under god” and “merry Christmas” are being said more often under his leadership.
The president took the opportunity to sign a new executive order “to ensure that the faith-based and community organizations that form the bedrock of our society have strong advocates in the White House and throughout the Federal Government.” The order creates a faith initiative at the white house which will focus on fostering religious liberty.
