President Trump gave a rowdy speech to the NRA convention in Dallas Friday, during which he took a shot at former Secretary of State John Kerry’s bike accident.

The record audience listened to the president talk about subjects ranging from Kanye West to the Iran Deal.

POTUS compared his leadership style to his predecessor Barack Obama. Trump said the Obama administration had a policy of capitulation on a world stage.

“The last administration had a policy of silence,” he stated, “Don’t talk! You may make them and him angry! Don’t talk. If a horrible statement is made about the United States, don’t say anything.”

In particular, Trump noted how weak of a negotiator John Kerry was.

“Not the best negotiator we have ever seen,” Trump said of Kerry, “He never walked away from the table. Except to be in that bicycle race where he fell and broke his leg.”

Kerry famously broke his leg while bicycling in France as secretary of state, interfering with his duties on the job.

Trump said the broken leg was a sign of weakness for Kerry negotiating with Iran. “I said, ‘Don’t tell him you broke your leg. Stay inside and say you don’t want to negotiate and you will make a much better deal,'” he said, “But he broke his leg. At 73 years old, you never go into a bicycle race. Okay?”

Kerry was 71 when he broke his leg.
