Sanaa Lathan once again insisted that rumors claiming she bit Beyoncé are “the most absurd thing” she’s ever heard.

“Yeah, it blew up. And I think it’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever been involved with,” the 46-year-old “Love and Basketball” star explained in her cover story in Health magazine published Tuesday.

“Thank God I’ve been in this business for 20 years and have had so many rumors about me,” she added. “They used to devastate me in my 20s, but in order to survive in this business, you just have to let it roll. I adore Beyoncé. I would never do anything malicious like that — to her, or to anyone. It’s so bizarre. It’s so crazy.”

The comments came after rumors surfaced in March that the actress reportedly was at a party in Los Angeles in December talking to Jay-Z when Beyoncé stepped in and Lathan nibbled on her chin.

According to TMZ, Lathan was talking to the singer’s husband in a way that reportedly made Beyoncé “uncomfortable.” The singer then went over to speak to the actress who assured her nothing inappropriate was happening and then gave her a joke bite.

The original story first appeared in GQ magazine during a cover piece with Tiffany Haddish who talked about the alleged incident without naming the culprit.

“There was this actress there that’s just, like, doing the mostest,” Haddish explained. “She bit Beyoncé in the face.”

After multiple sources confirmed that it was Lathan, she took to Twitter and denied any involvement.

“Y’all are funny. Under no circumstance did I bite Beyoncé and if I did it would be a love bite,” she tweeted.

The mystery continues.
