“It’s historically unprecedented as you just said a moment ago, for him to be meeting with Kim Jong-un.”
“This morning I woke up and I saw the footage of this. It’s going to sound cheesy, but I felt proud to be an American. Prisoners are freed to come home, and I know what that’s like in my family, and it made me feel patriotic and hopeful this morning.”
Trump tweeted about the hostages being freed, saying:
Looking forward to greeting the Hostages (no longer) at 2:00 A.M.

The highly anticipated meeting between Kim Jong Un and myself will take place in Singapore on June 12th. We will both try to make it a very special moment for World Peace!
