Green Beret and MMA fighter Tim Kennedy isn’t messing around when it comes to enhanced interrogation methods.

The legendary sniper taught uninformed whiners a lesson today when he tweeted that waterboarding is not too tough for the terrorists. (RELATED: GREEN BERET HAS AN AWESOME MESSAGE FOR PEOPLE WHO COMPLAIN TOO MUCH)

“Waterboarding is not torture,” he said simply.

Immediately, Kennedy received dozens of replies. But he wasn’t done yet.

“In exchange for cooking my best friend elk tacos he is going to Waterboard me for an hour while we live stream,” he said. “Put it on your calendars Friday 5 PM central time.”

It’s no secret that Tim Kennedy has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to terrorists. So I wouldn’t expect him to show much sympathy when it comes to interrogation tactics. But Kennedy makes a valid point here. Many people criticize waterboarding for being inhumane and ineffective but I bet very few of them have actually experienced it. And their opinion would probably change immediately if they ever had.

I know several people who have been waterboarded over the course of their military career. None of them say it’s enjoyable. But none of them believe it’s a legitimate form of torture, either.

This isn’t to say that waterboarding isn’t 100% effective. Nothing is. But the moment that this country starts treating terrorists and Gitmo prisoners like precious kids at pre-K is the moment we start to lose our legitmacy as the greatest, toughest nation on earth. Terrorists like Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who masterminded 9/11 and has the blood of thousands of Americans on his hands, doesn’t deserve to see the outside of a jail cell for as long as he lives. A little water isn’t going to kill him.
