President Donald Trump has a remarkable ability to melt the brains of anyone still flabbergasted by his electoral victory a year and a half ago. The latest example comes after Irani Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini’s stupid stunt of uploading a picture of himself reading Michael Wolff’s discredited “Fire and Fury.”

The photo, seen below, is also shown on Khameinei’s Instagram account. According to a translation The Wrap provided, the text below the photo roughly reads: “The leader of the revolution browsing a book about #Trump, President of America.”

Huffington Post writer and Fox News contributor Leslie Marshall called the photo “funny” — a rather odd encouragement of a brutal dictator who has not only overseen the killing of a number of his own people but hundreds of Americans.

Yahoo Finance reporter Dion Rabouin called the gag “next level,” demonstrating just how low the bar is for reporters when applauding criticisms of the president.

CNN’s Marshall Cohen concurred, saying the photo was “a new level of trolling,” once again just reminding the public how unimaginative this country’s press really is.

No journalist debased herself, however, more than Al Jazeera subsidiary AJ+ host Francesca Fiorentini, who said she was “trying not to love this as hard as I do.”
