A former Trump campaign adviser told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tuesday the FBI detained him and took his phone when the agency questioned him earlier this year.

Theodore Malloch, a former Trump campaign advisor, was stopped at Logan Airport in Boston, “taken into a room and ask questions by the FBI,” and had his “phone under a warrant seized,” with no lawyer present.

Malloch said the FBI had him wait for about 20 minutes, divided him from his wife and searched his belongings and “took me to a separate building to introduce me to two different FBI agents who asked me a series of questions.” He stated that the conversation was “quite chit-chatty for about 20 minutes.”

The former Trump adviser also said the FBI had a warrant for pulling him aside, but could not go into detail about what they asked him. Malloch said “there were very few substantive questions” but that the FBI “seemed to know all the answers to the questions.”

He also said the FBI officials were “fairly benign” and did not get too aggressive with him during their questioning.

“I’m certainly willing to cooperate in any inquiry, I don’t think I have much to add,” Malloch said.
