A Gazan man interviewed by NPR Wednesday bragged about flying a flag covered in anti-Semitic writing and stated the message from Gazans to Israelis is “we want to burn them.”

LISTEN:

Ahmed al-Bordani is a 19-year-old Gazan who had a homemade white kite that was “designed to float over the Israelis and catch fire.”

“It is a flag that’s going to go to the Jews,” al-Bordani said.

According to NPR, the flag was decorated with swastikas and was “decorated with writing claiming Jerusalem for Palestinians.”

“The Jews go crazy for Hitler when they see it,” al-Bordani said.

“This is actually what we want them to know,” he continued. “That we want to burn them.”

At least 60 people were killed in Gaza on Tuesday as protests escalated following the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.

A US delegation attended the embassy opening Monday, at which both Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke on the historic move.
