Gigi Hadid defended her pro-Palestinian post Wednesday following the deadly protests on the Gaza border earlier this week.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. For me, this is not about religion or one against the other – it’s about the greed. #FreePalestine #freegaza #coexist,” the 23-year-old Victoria’s Secret model tweeted. (RELATED: Celebs Blame Trump For Deadly Protest Over US Embassy Opening In Jerusalem)

Shortly after she made her post, she was attacked for appearing to blame Israel for the violent clashes along the Gaza border between Palestinian protesters and Israeli forces that left 52 people dead and thousands injured Monday.

In response, Hadid blasted people for assuming she was choosing one side over the other.

“You’ll all see whatever side you want. My intent is never to further separate groups in hatred- I live my life loving everyone regardless of religion/race. So I will say again for the last time, I’m not anti-anyone. I am only pro- coexistence. That is all. #freepalestine,” the supermodel tweeted.

Hadid’s father is Mohamed Hadid, who is of Palestinian origin, according to People magazine.
