Joe Scarborough Calls Mueller Probe “One Of The Most Successful Prosecutions’ And Says There’s More To Come

Joe Scarborough called special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe “one of the most successful prosecutions” ever, on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” Wednesday and expressed excitement about the future of the investigation.

Scarborough showed a list of several former Trump officials who are battling the government in court and declared victory for Mueller, despite that he’s failed to find a smoking gun linking President Donald Trump to the case. (RELATED: Mika Brzezinski Calls Rudy Giuliani A Train Wreck)

“Look at this list. Nothing’s been done? Yet you’ve got four ex-Trump advisers, a lawyer, a digital marketing strategist, 13 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, five guilty pleas, three Trumpists cooperating now with this investigation,” Scaborough said. “And he says nothing’s been done in a year. This is one of the most successful prosecutions and guess what, here’s the great news, Willie. As they say on TV, guess what, there’s more.”

Co-host Willie Geist agreed with Scarborough and said Mueller is working “quietly” to build his case.

“What this is about, again, is undermining the investigation so when its findings are made public President Trump and Rudy Giuliani and people who support Donald Trump can say they’re illegitimate because of X, Y and Z,” Geist said. “But it’s important to put the facts out in front of people and show that Bob Mueller is doing his work quietly. He’s won indictments, plea deals and arrests and he moves forward despite what all the Trump White House officials may be saying around him.”

Mueller has yet to hold a press conference or public forum of any to share the details of his findings, but thus far, the investigation has failed to prove collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government officials.
