The United States Air Force apologized on Thursday for sending a tweet about killing terrorists that some found to be insensitive.

The original tweet played off of the viral “Laurel v. Yanny” debate, and read, “The Taliban forces in Farah city #Afghanistan would much rather have heard #Yanny or #Laurel than the deafening #BRRRT they got courtesy of our #A10.”

After some backlash for “dehumanizing” terrorists, the Air Force deleted the tweet and sent out an apology. (RELATED: Air Force Weighs In On Laurel/Yanny Debate By Bragging About Killing Terrorists)

“We apologize for the earlier tweet regarding the A-10,” they said. “It was made in poor taste and we are addressing it internally. It has since been removed.”
