While Visiting Melania In The Hospital, Trump Met Wounded Vets And Invited Them To White House

First lady Melania Trump had emergency kidney surgery last week at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Trump visited his wife multiple times last week after the surgery on a benign embolism in the first lady’s kidney. We now know Trump visited some other people hospitalized at the military hospital.

Trump’s assistant Dan Scavino tweeted out photos from Wednesday, showing Trump giving a tour of the White House to injured veterans he met at Walter Reed during his visits to the First Lady. “Last week after visiting FLOTUS Melania,” Scavino said, “Trump went to visit wounded HEROES at Walter Reed Medical Center. He told them that when they got out, to come visit him at the White House anytime. Yesterday, prior to departing for NY, he welcomed and met with them in the Oval … ”

Melania’s surgery was successful.

In a tweet, the First Lady thanked the medical staff at Walter Reed and “all who have send good wishes & prayers!”

She said she is feeling “great” and looking forward to “getting back home” to the White House soon.
