Former film producer and Hollywood movie mogul Harvey Weinstein turned himself in after multiple allegations of sexual assault.
Weinstein is being charged with rape, criminal sex act, and sexual abuse and misconduct in situations involving at least two women, according to the New York Police Department Friday.
At the end of last year, more than 80 women came forward with allegations against Weinstein for abusing them and using his place of power as a well-connected producer in the movie industry to manipulate them into sexual acts and threatening them. Women have had to physically push him off their person as he was coming onto them, and many odd and disturbing stories have come forth from the allegations against Weinstein. The allegations against Weinstein spawned the #MeToo movement, which focuses on exposing sexual misconduct.
