Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway did not hold back this morning when confronted by CNN outside the White House over Trump’s immigration policy.

Conway got into the heated exchange with CNN over a controversy that sprung up this weekend involving a viral image of immigrant children sleeping in cages after being separated from their parents.

The image went viral when political activists and journalists used the photo to attack President Donald Trump. It was only after the photo went viral that people realized it was taken in 2014, during President Barack Obama’s second term. The Trump administration is enforcing law that separates the families of illegal immigrants if they are prosecuted for crossing the border illegally. Many liberal activists and journalists who tweeted the images rushed to delete them after it was revealed that they were taken in the Obama-era.

A CNN reporter asked about the immigration policy and Conway turned the question around, slamming CNN for propagating the embarrassing fake news.

“Your CNN colleague retweeted two migrant children laying in a cage to make the point against this president,” Conway said, “It happened under president Obama’s watch and deleted the tweet because it didn’t fit the narrative.”

Conway then asked bluntly, “Do you or do you not care about the migrant children?”

Conway did not wait for a response and walked back into the White House.
