First lady Melania Trump personally responded to media reports speculating about her health and whereabouts in a Wednesday tweet.
The Daily Caller reported earlier on Wednesday that a number of media outlets and reporters are raising concerns about the fact that the first lady hasn’t been seen in public in three weeks. Melania Trump recently underwent a kidney procedure and was in the hospital for a week before returning to the White House to continue her recovery. While Melania’s spokesperson has already tried to quell the swirling rumors, calling them “conspiracy theories,” Melania responded to them personally from her verified Twitter account Wednesday afternoon.
“I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing,” Mrs. Trump wrote. “Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!”
