A woman gave birth to a baby in Mississippi’s only abortion clinic.
Instead of technicians performing an abortion on the woman — who remains unnamed — they helped the woman deliver a healthy baby. The woman had gone to the Jackson Women’s Health clinic to receive an ultrasound and went into labor while she was at the clinic.
The woman had come to the clinic to learn how far along she was in her pregnancy, according to Jackson Women’s Health Organization Director Shannon Brewer, USA Today reported.
The baby was delivered without complications and the woman and her new daughter were taken to the hospital shortly thereafter.
We’re proud of NAF member, Jackson Women’s Health, Mississippi’s last abortion clinic, who helped a patient (who didn’t know how far along she was in her pregnancy & was trying to find out) through a safe delivery when she unexpectedly went into labor: https://t.co/7gMxH8lLcG
