Moulton, who represents Massachusetts’s 6th congressional district, has been a long outspoken critic of Pelosi and has said repeatedly it is time for the Democratic Party to get new leadership. (RELATED: Nancy Pelosi Losing Control Of House Democrats)

He repeated that assertion during a Tuesday morning MSNBC interview, stating, “I have great respect for [Pelosi], she has had a lot of great legislative achievements…but I think what I hear as I travel around the country from Democrats and Republicans alike is that we need new leaders.”

“Who is the leader of the Democratic Party?” MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt asked.

“Who is the leader of the Democratic Party?” Moulton repeated back before laughing to himself.

“Does my silence say something?” he chuckled. “I mean, this is the challenge we have right now and I don’t think people are looking at Leader Pelosi, with all due respect to her, and saying that is the future of our party.”
