As the world reeled at the news of celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain’s death, ruled an apparent suicide, a tearful Rose McGowan delivered a powerful message to anyone who might be considering suicide: “It’s a permanent solution to a temporary problem.”

McGowan began by pleading with anyone who might consider ending their lives, saying, “To those considering suicide, please don’t. Please call for help, because it’s a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It’s not forever, and the world will not be better off without you.”

She then directly addressed Bourdain’s girlfriend, Asia Argento, who recently made headlines with a powerful speech in Cannes. McGowan said, “Oh, Asia Argento, you’ve been through so much. Anthony, why?”

McGowan ended her video with another call for anyone considering suicide to call a hotline and talk to someone. And she followed that tweet with another, displaying the suicide hotline numbers for countries worldwide.
