Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta chose not to defend former FBI director James Comey in an interview on The Hill’s morning TV show “Rising” Thursday morning.
“He refused to take the advice of senior people in the Justice Department, so I’m not going to defend him,” Podesta said.
Jim Comey cops to being “stubborn, prideful, overconfident and driven by ego.” Makes you wonder what the sentence is for making, in 10/16, one of the worst errors of judgment in post-Hoover FBI history https://t.co/z7gVA7gJy9

“I’m not going to defend Jim Comey. I criticized him from the day he dropped a letter to [lawmakers] … right before the election,” John Podesta added.
Later today, the inspector general is expected to release his report on James Comey’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation. Many predict the report, which is being written by Michael Horowitz, to be critical of Comey’s decisions while leading the FBI. (RELATED: SESSIONS SAYS MORE FIRINGS POSSIBLE FOLLOWING DOJ REPORT)
