President Donald Trump will attend a fundraiser for Nevada Republican Sen. Dean Heller Saturday in support of his re-election bid, according to a Sunday report.
Trump will reportedly travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to headline the event in support of Heller, who faces a tough race in his district against Democratic Rep. Jacky Rosen in the Nov. 6 general election, according to CNN. Tickets for the event range anywhere between $15,000 to $50,000.
This comes after Trump sent out a tweet in March that hinted that businessman Danny Tarkanian should drop out of the Nevada primary Senate race against Heller so he could run “unopposed,” crediting Heller for “doing a really good job.”
The president will also reportedly speak to the Nevada State Republican Convention during his trip to the state.
Both Trump and Vice President Mike Pence have continued to support candidates in general elections since taking office in 2016 and have made several trips to speak on behalf of candidates. (RELATED: Report: Pence To Campaign In Ohio For Upcoming Special Election)
It is unclear if either of the events will be open to the press or televised.
