President Trump expressed his frustration with the Russian collusion allegations and investigation, calling it “phony” and a “hoax” Sunday morning on Twitter.

The president has been quick to question the investigation’s legitimacy. On Sunday, he continued stating his innocence and suggested a double standard in the FBI’s handling of collusion allegations and the lack of the same scrutiny for Hillary Clinton’s behavior.

A federal judge decided to jail President Trump’s campaign manager Paul Manafort in connection with the investigation earlier this week. He was awaiting trial but Special Counsel Robert Mueller alleged Manafort was repeatedly attempting to tamper with witnesses. (RELATED: TRUMP: MANAFORT JAILING IS ‘VERY UNFAIR’)
