A California father is accused of sexually abusing his daughter from the ages of 12 to 15, according to tweets from reporters who attended his court hearing Wednesday.
David Turpin, the husband of Louise Turpin, is facing allegations for sexually abusing his now 17-year-old daughter for three years, Richard K. De Atley from The Press-Enterprise tweeted. The teen claimed her father took off her pants, forced her on his lap and kissed her on the mouth until she was 15, tweeted Nicole Comstock, a CBS News reporter. The teen first detailed her abuse to Manuel Campos, the Riverside County sheriff’s investigator, during a 911 phone call after she escaped her parents’ “house of horrors” Jan. 14. The girl also claimed sexual abuse by father David Turpin, starting when she was 12.

During defense cross, Deputy Public Defender Allison Lowe elicited testimony from Campos that the sexual abuse the girl claimed did not involve touching of the girl’s chest or genital areas.

“I don’t know what medication is,” the 17-year-old girl also said during the phone call, People magazine reported. “We don’t really do schools. I haven’t finished first grade and I am 17.”

The Turpin parents face 92 felony counts, including false imprisonment, child abuse and torture. David is also accused of a lewd act against a child.
