Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano claimed detention centers for illegal immigrants were substandard under former President Barack Obama, but said the mainstream media ignored the story.

“President Obama was found, his [Department of Homeland Security] was found to be holding these children in woefully substandard facilities,” Napolitano said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday. (RELATED: The Photos Of Obama’s Illegal Immigrant Detention Centers The Media Won’t Show)

“I don’t remember that news story,” said host Steve Doocy.

“It was not publicized the way this one was,” Napolitano replied. “In facilities that was harmful to their health and safety. Not government facilities but outside facilities that the government had sent these children to … You cannot hold them in facilities that are harmful.”

Napolitano’s comments come after The Daily Caller broke a story on Tuesday about the conditions of illegal immigrant detention facilities under the Obama administration. Photos surfaced of children and adults crammed into holding cells with nothing but space blankets to cover themselves with.
