A new CNN poll on Friday revealed that approval of the way special counsel Robert Mueller is handling the Russia investigation has hit a low.

According to the survey of 1,012 Americans from June 14 to June 17, only 41 percent still approve of Mueller’s handling of the investigation. That is the lowest approval rating for the probe since CNN began polling in December of 2017. At that time, 47 percent approved of Mueller’s handling.

Support for the investigation has also dropped significantly since just under a year ago.

In August of 2017, 60 percent of people said that they believe the Russian effort to influence the 2016 election is a “serious matter that should be fully investigated.” That belief has dropped 5 percentage points — now only 55 percent believe Russian meddling is serious and should be fully investigated.

Approval of Mueller is also incredibly low, with only 32 percent of respondents saying they have a favorable opinion of the special counsel. Only 28 percent have a favorable opinion of former FBI director James Comey.
