California Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu tweeted “f*ck decorum” after being told it was against House rules to play audio of kids crying in an immigrant holding center on the House floor Friday.

“I can’t play the @ProPublica audio of their cries for help because of ‘decorum’? F*ck decorum,” Lieu tweeted Friday. The tweet was accompanied by a video of Lieu on the House floor playing a now infamous ProPublica recording.

Lieu was told on the House floor that he was out of order for playing the recording under House of Representatives Rule XVII, which stipulates that representatives “may not use audio devices during debate.” Lieu played the recording on an electronic device. Despite being told multiple times to suspend playing the recording, Lieu refused, until the House sergeant at arms personally went up to Lieu and told him to stop playing the audio.
