America’s first ladies have brought grace, class, and fashion to the White House over the years.

Whether by their inauguration gowns or just their day-to-day style, each presidential spouse has brought her own unique flair to the office of the first lady, both in politics and in wardrobe.

Throughout the years, however, all 45 administrations, as well as the fashion trends associated with each, have changed very drastically. From Jackie Kennedy’s iconic pencil skirts and blazers to Melania’s chic designer couture, there have been many differences between these ladies and their fashion know-how. Many first ladies started iconic trends that still hold major influence today.
