King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein and Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited the White House and sat down with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

While shaking hands in front of press, the king of Jordan said, “Sir, if I could thank you and the United States and the people of America for all the support you have given our country.”

“If the rest of the world just took a little of your humility and your grace to help us,” he continued, “We’d be in a much better position.”

Trump replied, “Remember, he used the word humility with respect to me, so I am very happy with that one,” which received an errant chuckle from the crowd. “That’s probably the nicest compliment I’ve gotten in a long time.”
