White House counselor Kellyanne Conway called out a Democratic Senate intern who was allowed to keep her job by name in a Wednesday interview on “Fox & Friends.”
“Look at that intern last week … the Congressional summer intern. Her name is Caitlin Marriott … Still has her job,” Conway said, adding, “I talked to the president. I can promise you on his behalf that if a White House intern here this summer ever said anything like that to an elected official … that person would be gone immediately.”
Marriott was suspended from her an internship for a week by Senator Maggie Hassan’s office and lost her Congressional pass for violating the rules of the House. Marriott shouted the epithet at Trump while he was attending a meeting of House Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill earlier this week.
LISTEN: As Pres Trump’s entourage entered Speaker Ryan’s office in the Capitol, someone on the other side of the Capitol rotunda yelled: “Mr. President, F—k you!!” (He entered about 15 seconds later): pic.twitter.com/KHp16LYMoF
