After inviting Japanese investor Masayoshi Son on stage, Trump dropped a joke that brought the house down at his speech in Wisconsin Thursday.

While praising Son for his $50 billion investment in the United States, Trump brought him on stage and put him on the spot, having him speak in front of an enormous audience.

“Come on up here,” Trump said. “[Masayoshi Son] doesn’t play games. He doesn’t like small numbers, right? You proud of Terry?” the president asked, referring to Son’s long-time friend Terry Gou.

“Yes, I am,” Son said emphatically.

“Say something about Terry. Come on,” Trump insisted.

Son took the opportunity in stride as he adjusted the microphone and began to speak: “Terry is my best friend, and we are the brothers!” Son exclaimed.

“What about me, no?” Trump said with a grin and a shrug.

Everyone in the building lost it, including Son, who patted Trump on the shoulder and said, “Of course!”

After he was able to gather himself, Son then continued on with his remarks.
