With the countdown to President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nomination down to a matter of hours, pro-choice organizations have pulled out all the stops to fight back against what they fear could spell the end of Roe v. Wade.
“The threat to Roe is real, and it’s here now,” NARAL (National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League) tweeted on Sunday, lamenting the fact that “only eight states” have legal protections for abortion rights if Roe is overturned.
If #RoevWade is overturned and gutted, only eight states—out of FIFTY—have constitutional protections for a woman’s right to abortion. #WhatsAtStake #SaveSCOTUS pic.twitter.com/bt2InAygkD

NARAL also warned that “anti-choice extremists” would not stop at overturning Roe to undermine women’s access to healthcare.
Undermining #RoevWade isn’t the only path for anti-choice extremists to cut off our reproductive freedom. https://t.co/gaP31T2ETz

And the group framed the President’s choice as “extreme” — in spite of the fact that he has yet to announce who it is.
We expect Trump to announce his extreme #SCOTUS pick *TONIGHT.* From 7/9-7/13, we’re showing up at Senate District Offices nationwide to #SaveSCOTUS. Show up & fight with us https://t.co/WDvVXXmkr7 pic.twitter.com/nIzN6wm0JK

Planned Parenthood framed the potential reversal of the landmark 1973 decision as a danger to the personal liberties of all Americans.
“The Supreme Court can’t just negate a woman’s right to abortion without unraveling protections for all.” #WhatsAtStake with a SCOTUS vacancy is our personal liberty. #SaveSCOTUS https://t.co/178LO7TtDO

Senator Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) argued that Trump’s Supreme Court pick would be an attack on women’s rights — again, prior to any announcement of his choice.
All of Trump’s potential nominees to the Supreme Court vacancy want to take away a woman’s constitutionally protected right to make her own health care decisions. Make no mistake – this is about punishing women.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has been arguing against President Trump’s possible nominees — claiming that everyone on Trump’s “short list” poses a threat to Roe v. Wade — since the day Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement.
In spite of the hysteria coming from pro-choice organizations (not to mention the left-leaning commentators and Democrat lawmakers), President Trump has said that he did not even intend to ask whether potential nominees would consider revisiting the case.
