Actor George Clooney is recovering after a collision with a Mercedes threw him over the front of his motorbike on Tuesday in Olbia, on the Italian island of Sardinia.
The Mercedes, according to reports, failed to stop before making a turn. The accident occurred at 8:15 a.m. local time.
The driver of the car, according to Italian newspaper La Nuova, stopped to assist Clooney when he fell, hitting his head on the windshield of the Mercedes. He also notified authorities on the incident.

Clooney was then escorted to the hospital by local police, where he was met by his wife, human rights attorney Amal Clooney. He was released within hours after a CT scan and an MRI showed no serious injuries.
The 57-year-old actor is in Sardinia to film “Catch 22,” a Hulu limited series based on Joseph Heller’s novel of the same name.
