France will utilize thousands of police for upcoming Bastille Day celebrations this weekend, according to Le Parisian Thursday.

There could be up to 100,000 security forces around France for the country’s annual Bastille Day on July 14 with celebrations from Friday to Sunday, a jump from 80,000 in 2017, according to Le Parisian. France’s beefed up security for the upcoming Bastille Day celebrations follows a terror attack in Nice, France, during Bastille Day celebrations in 2016. France’s ministry of the interior is expected to put forth an official announcement Friday regarding security for the upcoming Bastille Day celebrations.
