In a heated House Judiciary hearing Thursday, FBI Deputy Assistant Director Peter Strzok was grilled by Trey Gowdy for anti-Trump text messages he sent while he was investigating Hillary Clinton.

Gowdy particularly hammered Strzok over a text message he sent, saying, “God, Hillary should win 100 million to 0.”

“I assume that would be former secretary of state Hillary Clinton?” Gowdy said, “In March of 2016 weren’t you investigating her for potential mishandling of classified information?”

Strzok confirmed he was.

“Why wouldn’t you wait until the investigation was over before you have her, the nominee, winning a general election against an opponent that hadn’t even been named yet 100 million to 0, Agent Strzok?” Gowdy asked, “That’s how bad she should win?”

Strzok answered calling the comments”personal expressions of my observing the political process of the presidential primaries” and said they had  “no bearing” on any of his investigations.

“You couldn’t think of a single person that wouldn’t vote for Hillary Clinton” Gowdy forcefully asked.
Strzok answered calling his comments “hyperbole.”

“How about we divide it by 10,” Gowdy asked, “I’m pretty sure it’s 10 million. 0 divided by 10 is still zero. You couldn’t think of a personal who would vote for her for president before you interviewed and while you were supposed to be investigating her?”

Strzok tried to argue but Gowdy interrupted “You wrote it. Did you write it?”
“I did write that, sir,” Strzok said.

Gowdy finished asking Strzok, “Were you under duress?”
