President Trump Has Spawned America’s Best Economic Performance In Years, Says Stuart Varney
Fox Business show “Varney & Company” host Stuart Varney claimed President Donald Trump has helped spawn one of greatest best economic booms America has ever seen, Monday on “Fox & Friends.”
“I would use that word. It is a ‘booming’ economy,” Varney said. “Best performance in years. Go beneath the big numbers. We are going to get four percent growth. That’s the big number that everybody pays attention to.”
“That is extraordinary. Best performance in many many years. Four percent growth. Double what we got in the first quarter,” Varney said. (RELATED: Media Ignoring Booming Economy Because Of Bias Against Trump, Says Stuart Varney)
“The lay off rate, at a record low. If you’re an employer, you don’t lay people off in an expanding economy,” he continued. “And the hiring rate, that’s at a record high. 600,000 people came back into the workforce last month because it’s an expanding economy.”
Varney also said people in the workforce are willing to risk quitting their jobs because they are confident they can find a better alternative in today’s job market.
“The job quitting rate — all-time high. Now, why would you quit your job? Because you think you can get something better elsewhere. That’s a sense of optimism,” Varney said. “The economy’s expanding. Quit what you got because you know, pretty sure you can get something better over there.”
Varney, who has been a supporter of Trump’s Chinese tariffs, said they’ve had little effect on America’s economy thus far and thinks the main focus should be on the country’s four percent growth.
“So far it has not [impacted America]. Maybe there’s some little peripheral areas where prices have gone up but I repeat, four percent growth. We get the official numbers next week,” he declared. “All the indicators suggest best growth rate in years.”
Varney also commented on a possible trade deal with the European Union and said the results of those talks will be a factor in America’s economic prosperity.
“That’s where we get a sense of do we have a deal or not? And that will make a difference to the economy going forward,” he concluded. “But right now, you’ve got four percent growth. That’s a boom.”
