A California gun store owner slammed Sacha Baron Cohen after the comedian unsuccessfully attempted to mock gun owners during a stunt where he went undercover to purchase a firearm.
Cohen went with his production team to Warrior One Gun & Ammo in Riverside disguised in a bushy grey beard and wearing leather apparel. He was claiming to be a Hungarian immigrant filming a documentary about his experience buying guns in America.

“He comes in, off the bat … I’m looking, I’m like ‘this guy does not look like a Hungarian immigrant.’ Tight [expletive] leather pants, a beard, it just didn’t fit,” Sweidan told Fox 11 Los Angeles.

“I just kept looking at the guy and I was like ‘You’re Borat!'” said Sweidan. “Soon as I said that his eyes just looked at me and he did a [turn] right out the door.”
After Sweiden exposed the shenanigan, Cohen quickly left the store, even ditching his cameramen. The team refused to answer questions so Sweiden kicked them off his property since he already knew what the comedian’s intentions were.
“Once I knew it was Borat, we already knew his game and his [expletive] so we knew that he was here to make a mockery. And make a mockery of what? Gun owners? The gun business? Gun shops?” Sweiden continued.
The incident, which was caught on the store’s security cameras, occurred in February 2017 and was exclusively provided to Fox 11.
