Host of CNN’s “New Day” John Berman spouted partisan talking points about Russian interference Monday and said President Donald Trump seems like he’s “siding with Vladimir Putin.”

“The walk back of the walk back. In other words, clarification on exactly how the president feels about the Russian attack on the 2016 U.S. election. He doesn’t believe it happened. He clearly never did,” Berman said. “Leaving contractions and double negatives on the ash heap of history.” (RELATED: CNN’s John Berman Accuses Trump Administration Of Lying After Referencing The Bible)

Berman then read Trump’s Sunday tweet criticizing former President Barack Obama and labeling the Russian election interference “a big hoax.”

“Remember the statement where he said it wasn’t a hoax?” co-host Alisyn Camerota asked.

“I’m old enough to remember,” Berman replied. “Look, the truth here is the Trump campaign was told about potential Russian interference. CNN has reported the president was personally briefed about it in August of 2016.”

“Also important, the whole ‘big hoax’ thing,” Berman continued. “That doesn’t sound like believing your intelligence agencies, now does it? That seems like siding with Vladimir Putin, doesn’t it?”

Camerota began laughing and asked if Berman was going to continue posing similar questions to her the entire show.

“I like this,” Camerota said. “Are we going to do this through the whole show? Yes.”
