Repealing Security Clearances, The Daily News Dies, And Stormy Gets Dumped
On today’s Daily Daily Caller Podcast, we talk about the furor over the idea that people who are calling the president of the United States a traitor might not be worthy of the highest security clearance our country has to offer, how journalists react differently when their own lose their jobs compared to normal Americans, and America’s most famous porn star is accused of cheating.
Listen to the show:
The press gasped when the White House announced it is considering revoking the security clearances of top Obama administration officials, but why? No one is entitled to a security clearance, though you’d hardly know it from the reaction to it. And one Washington Post employee seems to think access to our most guarded secrets is a First Amendment issue and those named by the White House are “victims.” You can’t make up this level of stupid.
Nothing upsets liberal journalists more than other liberal journalists losing their jobs. The rabidly anti-Trump New York Daily News let half their editorial staff go yesterday and other journalists are engaging their fainting couches — calling the layoffs a tragedy. When a factory closes we get lectures about how those workers have to be retrained and adjust to a new economic reality and stories about how it’s Donald Trump’s fault. Why doesn’t that apply to journalism?
She’s single (again), fellas. Porn star Stormy Daniels is accused of cheating on her husband as he files for divorce, which makes you wonder if he didn’t know who he was marrying. “Creepy porn lawyer” Michael Avenatti said the woman only nationally known for alleging an affair with Trump 12 years ago who is engaging in a public fight to “tell her story” is seeking privacy for her family. Weird, considering it’s a courtesy she’s not interested in extending to other people’s families. It’s almost like you can’t trust a porn star.
