Fox News’ chief White House correspondent John Roberts tweeted that he is recovering from surgery on Thursday evening.

Roberts, according to his Twitter account, had “two blocked arteries” in his heart that were discovered and repaired by the doctors at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Dr. Itshach Ben-Dor and Dr. Lowell Satler performed the operation.

He recently went after President Trump for his tweet attacking the media.

“The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media,” the president stated on Twitter earlier this month.

Roberts responded to the tweet with, “President Trump doubles down on his ‘fake news media – enemy of the people’ mantra for reporting that his meeting with Putin was widely panned by members of his own party. That makes me an enemy of the state.” (RELATED: Fox WH Reporter: When Trump Attacks Press He ‘Makes Me An Enemy Of The State’)
