Kim Kardashian West told late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel that President Donald Trump “has done something amazing” and so she has “nothing bad to say about the president” on Monday night.
As The Hill reports, the reality star met Trump in May as she came to ask for a presidential pardon for Alice Johnson, who was in jail for life after being convicted on a drug charge.
“I knew that there was only one person in power who could make this change, who could get this woman out of prison, so I went for it,” Kardashian West said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Trump had Johnson released from prison in June.
She admitted to being overwhelmed by the office of the president, who is not just famous for being famous.
“Honestly, I walk in, and I look in, and I’m kinda starstruck.” Kardashian West told Kimmel. She exclaimed, “Holy s**t. What in the f**k. The Oval Office! Wait a minute — I’m really here.”
Trump later commuted Johnson’s sentence in early June. Kardashian West says she received the good news when she was in the midst of a nude photo shoot.
“So I’m naked, and I’m all glammed up. My phone rings, and I’m like, ‘Get me a robe!'” she recalled.
Kimmel suggested Trump’s generosity might have been extended to the “whole prison” had he known that Kardashian was nude when she was talking to the president.
