House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy called for Twitter to ban Oregon Congressional candidate Mark Roberts for implying that the first lady works as a prostitute on Monday night.

McCarthy said that the lewd remarks were “disgraceful,” and that “comments like these have no business on any platform.”

Roberts, who is running as an Independent for the 2nd Congressional District, was responding to a tweet from Charlie Kirk, about the size of the first lady’s staff in comparison to Michelle Obama’s staff.

Roberts asked Kirk if he knew that the first lady “works by the hour,” and then he placed hashtags on the words, “thinkdirty” and “hoebag.” (RELATED: Oregon Congressional Candidate Takes Tasteless Twitter Shot At Melania Trump, Likens)

When the Daily Caller News Foundation reached out to Roberts’ office, Roberts responded by saying, “Never heard of The Daily Caller. I think I’m too big for you, but feel free to send me a link to some of your work.”
