Conservative actor and Twitter provocateur James Woods waded into Thursday’s latest Jim Acosta drama with a couple of well placed tweets.
Woods’ first tweet praised Sanders for “bitch slap[ping]” Acosta during Thursday’s presser after the CNN White House correspondent pressed Sanders over President Trump’s “enemy of the people” characterization.

“I’m the first press secretary in the history of the United States that’s required Secret Service protection,” Sanders said in response to Acosta’s question. “The media continues to ratchet up the verbal assault against the president and everyone in this administration and certainly we have a role to play. But Woods wasn’t finished. An hour later, the actor responded to an Acosta tweet calling Fox News host Sean Hannity a “propagandist for profit” by noting the “Sherman tank” sized difference between both men’s television viewership.
