Korean War veteran and poet Samuel Fielder thanked President Trump for the return of fallen U.S. soldiers in an interview with The Daily Caller on Wednesday.
“I think Trump, right now, is the second father of our country,” Fielder said.
The interview took place as Vice President Mike Pence was receiving the remains of the Korean War heroes in Hawaii. The return of the remains of 55 U.S. servicemen was one of the promises made by Kim Jong Un at the historic summit that took place in June between the North Korean leader and President Trump.
“President Trump has done a great honor for this country,” Fielder, a former sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, told The Daily Caller. “He has fought for us, and he’s got these prisoners coming home, and all the people in the United States should be cheering and thanking him for it, not knocking him for it.”
