Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri from Florida told Rev. Al Sharpton to “go back to New York” and to “mind his own business,” during a Tuesday press conference.

Gualtieri was holding the presser for an unrelated investigation, when a reporter asked for comment about Sharpton’s protests against Florida’s stand your ground law, Fox 13 reported(RELATED: ESPN’s Jemele Hill Race Baits Donald Trump To Al Sharpton On MSNBC)

Sharpton was present at a Sunday rally in Clearwater for Markeis McGlockton, who was shot and killed by Michael Drejka on July 19. Gualtieri chose not to charge Drejka and cited the stand your ground statute as his reason.

“It’s a bunch of rhetoric. I don’t pay much attention to it, to tell you the truth. I wasn’t there, and I don’t really care what Al Sharpton has to say,” Gualtieri said. “Go back to New York; mind your own business.”
