A registered Democrat reportedly drove to a man’s home and shot him after the pair got into a heated political disagreement on Facebook.

Brian Sebring, 44, of Tampa, Florida, was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm after shooting Alex Stephens, 46.

Police say the incident began when the two men got into an aggressive political argument over Facebook. Stephens allegedly sent “explicit messages and threats” to Sebring, prompting Sebring to arm himself and drive to Stephens’ house.

Sebring brought an AR-15 and a Glock along for the approximately two-mile drive to Stephens’ home. When Stephens came out of the residence and saw Sebring, he charged, prompting Sebring to open fire.

Stephens caught a bullet in the buttocks and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Sebring is a registered Democrat and has posted several anti-Trump memes on his Facebook page. It is unclear where Stephens, a felon, stands politically. Police did not say precisely what the two men were arguing about on Facebook.
