Political commentator Dan Bongino said Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has single-handedly damaged her party’s brand with her radical beliefs.

Bongino was discussing a clip of Pelosi appearing on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” Sunday, when she claimed Democrats are “for the people.” (RELATED: Nancy Pelosi Calls Mitch McConnell Racist For Opposing Obama, But Supports Stonewalling Trump)

“Has there been a figure in American politics last 30 years that’s been more damaging to their party than Nancy Pelosi,” Bongino said on “Fox & Friends” Monday. “She has almost single-handedly destroyed the Democrats’ brand.”

“For the people? The Democrats? Everything the Democrats stand for is against you and for the government,” he continued. “I mean, let’s just talk about it practically. Take the big three right, the economy. They want more of your money, not less. In other words, they are not for the people. They’re for the government.”

Bongino said there is a stark difference between what Republicans believe and what Democrats believe — with the GOP standing for more personal choice and freedom.

“The Republicans generally, conservatives stand for school choice,” Bongino concluded. “[Democrats] don’t stand for any of that. They stand for centralized bureaucratic power over the education system. Saying Democrats are for the people is like a joke. They don’t stand for anything. They only stand against you and against Trump.”
