Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Cal.) doesn’t let sentimentality get in the way of politics. After receiving best wishes in anticipation of her 80th birthday on Wednesday, the chronic Trump-basher told her “AM Joy” host that she had her own wish: the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

“My biggest birthday wish would be that we’re able to get a leader of this country who represents us — who has the respect of all of our allies … who instead of dividing us would take leadership …” Waters said.

The Congresswoman wants “[s]omeone who has appreciation for the Constitution. Someone that doesn’t lie … with these tweets. He doesn’t even know the words to the Star-Spangled Banner,” Waters claimed.

“I would wish that we could remove [Trump] from office,” Waters insisted, just getting started. She reminded her audience that “2020 is coming up,” suggesting there were dire consequences for Trump in the future.

Waters promised to continue her campaign against Trump and won’t be “intimidated” because she is a woman with so many responsibilities and duties.

“I am the ranking member of the financial services committee of the United States House of Representatives. I guide my colleagues on financial services issues … I am going to continue to go after him,” Waters said.
